CONCEPT WORK FOR MY ONGOING WORLDBUILDING IP, “UNFATED”

UNFATED takes place in the Ancient Indonesian-inspired lanscape of Yrdra. Hundreds of years ago, a giant egg that was flying through space as a comet crashed into the planet and split open. The being inside is only half-grown and the egg has since released a virulent substance called "Starlight" that spreads throughout the land and corrupts all life it touches, namely: mankind, and Rohs (Spirits). The world is now inhabited by the survivors and they live amongst the ruins of the civilization before the crash. There are many diverse regions in this world that have reacted to the corruption in different ways and you can still find influence of the Rohs that used to coexist with mankind and lived before the crash around the world.
There are 8 "Pillars of Man" who oversee Yrdra, some of them like to rule, but most have their own ambitions and plans. Each pillar is aligned with a different human aspect such as Knowledge, Absurdity, Salvation, and Death, and some say the alien is the last "Pillar of Man". Because of this theory, Yrdra became a destination of pilgrimage for people seeking riches and adventure, or the truth of the world. Those who travel to the broken continent either have little sanity or vast wisdom and often it is both.
