KING ALARIC, THE SKY-DEVOURED

Designed a three-phase bossfight (refer to the "Bell Ringer" for the protagonist and the “Consecrated Belfry” for the boss arena)

Lore: The “founders” built a tower as wide as a continent and taller than the skies to carry their fallen God back to paradise. The last king, Alaric, built the Consecrated Belfry atop the tower which houses the largest bell known to man. He believed that the tower could not get any taller and the only way to reach paradise was through the ringing of a bell. Its sound shook the tower and drove its inhabitants mad. The gods of paradise were furious and it rained blood.

Upon the second phase of the fight, King Alaric cuts the fin of the fallen God with his staff and consumes its flesh in desperation. He drops his staff and transforms into something feral and imperfect. After he is defeated, he wakes once more as King Alaric, the Sky-Devoured. Approaching the Altar of the Fallen God triggers his last transformation and resurrects his obsession for the skies. The hands in his third phase use the crotal bells that were once his necklace to cast spells, and he floats as if he has ascended to Godhood. He picks up his staff once again and fights as the supreme king he once was.
